i absolutly love red hair. it's unique and beautiful. i don't know why you would think people hate redheads, because all the redheads i know are nice, loveable people. maybe it's just jealousy, because i'd kill for red hair.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personal preference is a reason, and pretty much the only reason. Maybe you love your red hair, maybe you don't care about hair colors, but I guess some people do. Some people might think "Ew, I hate that color of hair" or some people might like it. It's the same way with movies, music, books, T.V. shows, colors, clothing... not everybody has the same taste in everything. People I think are beautiful some people think are hideous. %26amp; vice versa.

Redheads hve always suffered prejudice, especially in Europe. No one really knows why. I would research it. I never look at anyone and say I hate them because of their haircolor, unless it's some stupid kid who thinks it's artsy to dye their hair florescent pink...

I think that works for all colors. Blond is really the worst, because of all the "dumb blond" jokes. If you have brown hair, you're mousy, if you have black hair you're foreign or mysterious, if you have red hair, you're fiery or short tempered. Part of that comes from a superstition about people with red hair that originated in the UK. Because if you had red hair, you were much more likely to be from the north, and therefore inferior. That got stretched into a near hysteria that redheads were somehow evil. Part of that is because it's something of a genetic wild card, popping out when no living relatives have it, making it seem like an outer force is influencing it... All I know is I love red hair personally. I have mousy brown hair, and I dye it red all the time. I feel like it makes me stand out more.
