my hair is naturally medium brown, but can i dye it this colour http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi... without using a bleach? if yes, what brand dye? i don't have the cash to go to a salon

Yes, your hair is somewhat light so the red color you want can definitely be achieved. Use L'oreal Excellence Creme Haircolor in light auburn.

Yes you have to bleach it to get it that bright, but if you've never done it before...you might make a mess of your hair. Go to Sally beauty and ask for cream bleach. Apply it on the bottom of your head first....and work your way up. Do your scalp last! Let it process until your hair is orange. You don't need to go lighter then that because you want to color your hair red...and the orange will be a good base. A semi-perm...will not give you the results you want...they only deposit color....and will only last acouple of shampoos.
