I want to grow my hair long, its medium now but its so poofy and mushroomy you cant even tell its medium length unless its wet. I want longer hair but i dont want it to look poofy and like a mushroom.. I hate getting it cut because it gets expensive and it grows fast. What do I do? http://a681.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima...

just let it do what it wants, it doesnt look bad.. put some mousse in it when its wet and scrunch it a bit, let it dry and see if you can get the messy look... if not, dont worry, as it grows longer, the weight will pull it down and be less poofy..

or try using straightening serum while its wet. then straighten it.. itll be straight and all the girls will be jealous cos itll be so shiny :P

PS: white people shouldnt do corn rows.. especially red head white peeps haha..

I have basically the same thing goin' on right now.

My hair's growing out, and it looks kinda strange. and it will for a month or two at most.

All you can do is wait for it to grow.

Use some vitamins. They help your hair grow faster.

Or you can just straighten your hair and it'll get thinner and burn a little.. but that's not good.

my exboyfriend had medium, thick, wavy red hair, and hes grown it really long. when we were together it was about the same length as yours and i loved it. hah, i love red heads. but, anyway, he just let it grow, he didn't cut it, hes been growing it for 2 years now and its below his shoulders. just let it do its thing.

grab a black girl from school and get her to do some cornrows every week until your hair grows all the way out - ( dont pay more than ten bucks or shes ripping you off - if she says 15 ok thats cool but if she opts for 20 tell her youll find someone else in the hood

or try to get it layerd slightly and at an angle to the backshorter in the front parted on the side - it wont look so poofy if its done right -

and it wont just hang in your face - youve actually got nice hair -

go to a hair salon(Great Clips or somewhere) and have it thinned...just did that to my short,thick,horribly curly hair, and it worked MIRACLES!!!
