What's the best way to keep red hair from fading?

Are there any good products that will make the color last longer? I just dyed it red less than 2 weeks and the back has already faded a lot.

Try red-color preserving hair products. John Frieda makes a good line that you can find in most drug stores. You can also try using Redken Color Extend, Aveda Color Conserve, or Pantene Pro-V Red Expressions.

Other general tips: Wash your hair every other day with shampoo. The other days, just rinse and condition. Cold water will also help preserve the color. Also limit sun exposure by wearing a hat, and exposure to chlorinated pool water by wearing a swim cap. Hot tools also fade color, so use them sparingly. Hair products with vitamins A, C, and E and SPF help protect your hair as well.
