Dye my hair red?

I want to have red streaks in my hair like this:

My hair is just a little bit lighter than hers,

will it look right??

AND after a few washes will it turn ginger?!?

Those aren't real hair, those are clip ins. You can tell by the texture and all.

If you bleach out streaks in your hair and put semi-permanent red (www.manicpanic.com or RAW) over the bleached section (process 20 to 60 minutes, wash out, etc) it will stay pretty well

The fading depends on how you care for it.

If you don't use hair styling products often and use gentle shampoo and conditioner it will stay bright for weeks

to touch up just add more semi-permanent.

Semi-permanent dye isn't damaging like permanent

well do you think it would be your color?????? If so GO for it If you find out that it is not your color you can always go back to your normal color...

ok.. Well, i know your really want the red streaks but i work in a salon and the red ALWAYS fades to either pink or orange.

it ends up looking really bad. my sister also had her hair with red streaks it looked great when she got it done, but after acouple of washed and also using the red haircolor shampoo, it looked horrible becuase it turned pink.

its up to you. it will turn no doubt. but your gonna have to keep on top of it..

well, i couldnt see the pic in the link...i think my laptops spazzing up. o well

if ur doing it at home get XXL wildlights but they dont work to well if ur hair is dyed.

they probably will go ginger if u wash ur hair too much UNLESS u use a shampoo for coloured/highlighted hair. whatever u do DONT use a antidandruff one coz they will strip the colour and leave them ginger.

also for the first few washes dont wash them too hot coz the colour will fade quicker and look gingerish.

AND avoid using lots of hairproducts (eg straightening creams and stuff) because they can change the colour and red is likely to go ginger. Didnt for me but did for my friend so i would avoid overloading ur hair.
