I dyed my hair red months ago, tried to dye it back to brown. Its still red.?

I've been dying my hair red for years. Now I want a change. I tried dying my hair back to my natural brown, but the red still shows through. I even tried using a color stripping kit. Didn't work. So I was wondering if anyone knew a good brand of color stripper or if they had any onter ideas? Thanks!

I had issuses with this too. Actually my hair now naturally picks up even the slightest bit of red in a dye. You need to get an Ash brown. If it doesn't have ash in the name then you won't get rid of the red. You might have to go darker than your natural color at first but after your hair has had a healthy amount of time to heal from being dyed, stripped and then dyed again you can dye it to your natural color and it should work. Besides black, red is the hardest color to get out of your hair once you put it in.
