I got my hair relaxed two weeks ago. I dyed my hair red today but it's like a really dark ginger color. I wanna go all out fire engine red so I wanna know how long should I wait until I dye it again?
Dyed my hair red..wanna go ALOT lighter.?
If you mean REDD like suicide red, like BRIGHT BRIGHT red, bleach your hair, and dye it with sally's beauty's selections.
Wait atleast a few weeks!!

At least 2 weeks but it would be better if you could wait longer, that is alot of chemical processing in such a short time, you could up with no hair!

Well, you can't do it with a "Natural" red, it actually HAS to be bright red, you'll have to bleach, and you should wait at least 6 weeks since your hair is relaxed and already extensively damaged.

I dye my hair all the time, and i think you should wait a while, or better yet go to a professional, they might be able to get your hair to a fire engine red instead of a dark ginger color and without damaging your hair.

You have to wait atleast a few weeks before you dye it again. I suggest you go to a salon. I go to fantastic Sam's which has great service and its cheap for a chain salon. You should get your air professionally deep conditioned. Have them dye it. aswell. it cost me 120 bucks to get my hair dyed cut and my eye brows waxed i was in the chair for 2 hours. Its worth the cost.

I'm guessing that this is the first time you have dyed your hair, if it isn't , then you should know that freshly dyed hair is always dark until it's been shampooed 3 or 4 times.
First, wash your newly dyed hair with a mild dish soap like Dove.
Yes dish soap, it'll make it 3-4 shades lighter.
Then if you want a really red look, get 4 packages of un-sweetened, cherry Kool-aid, yes Kool-aid. Mix all 4 packages in a bowl with half a cup of water.
After you've rinsed the dish soap out COMPLETELY, rub the un-sweetened Kool-aid mixture into your hair and let it dry naturally. NO BLOW DRYER.
Have fun. No harmful chemical involved.

Well first you'd want to do a reconstructive treatment. I suggest the Aphogee strengthening treatment...availible at just about every beauty supply store.
Second, you will need to make sure sure your hair is in good enough condtion to do this. You will have to lighten your hair.....I suggest using an oil bleach I believe L'Oreal makes one or you can also a liquid hair lightener such as Clairol, 7th Stage....you'll need to use 1/2 to 1 activator packet with it and be sure to use 20 vol creme developer.
After that you can use a semi-permanent haircolor....like Jerom Russel Punky Color, Clairol Jazzing.....

try this one: http://www.alltoiletries.com/shared/prod... it holds the colour really well. and you can colour it today or next week, it will make no difference to your hair whasoever, hair is not alive and therefore doesn't "heal" or "get better" the reason that companies will say to wait 24-48 hours between colourings is to give a chance for your scalp to get oily again which will in turn protect it- as your scalp IS alive.

you can get rinses that you can use straght away as long as not bleaching lighter

for a brilliant red you need bleach so my best advise is to go to a salon for this if your not used to using bleach anything can go wrong
