Before I go back to school I want to dye the ends of my layered red hair, but what color?

I have natural red hair that's never been dyed so I'm scared to even do the tips. I'm thinking about purple tips, or maybe even black highlights......But not so sure if I should at all because I don't want to ruin my hair. Anyone have an opinion or answer to what color I should get or if I should at all?

I think you should go talk to your hairstylist and ask him/her.

After all, she's the professional I'm sure she'll find a color

that will go perfectly with your natural hair color and skin

tone. And don't worry too much about damaging your hair,

if you think it gets really damage you can just cut off the ends,

after all you're just going to dye the tips. :p

Depends what you are into. Blacks cool. Maybe try the original color of your hair, if it doesn't look too awkard.

i would use black or maybe platinum blonde highlights or tips.I was a little worried the first time i died my hair to. but it turned out great!
