I looove red hair too, and I can tell you from experience ... there is not much you can do to make it last. I have tried all the shampoo's, it doesn't matter ... your hair will always be faded in a matter of weeks to either orange or a pinkish color. My Mom works in a salon, and she even says that red is the hardest to maintain unless it is natural. I gave up on red hair and went back to my natural color, which turned out to have some red in it, so I got lucky. To keep your red hair you will just have to keep re-coloring it every time it fades, and that can get very damaging.

I used the red shampoo from Aveda, I dont remember the name of it ....but i can tell you make sure you pick a shampoo with a UV protectant in it...the sun is one of the biggest cause next to shampooing of fading!
